Lila Creator Agreement
Version 2026-10-15. Draft for review by a lawyer before it is relied on. (Version 2026-10-15 pays only for the users you bring: views are no longer paid, and Whop is no longer used.)
This agreement is between Ethan Beirne, who makes Lila ("we", "us"), and the creator named in the acceptance at the end ("you"). It covers the videos you make about Lila and how you are paid for them.
Lila's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy also apply to your own use of the app.
The creator brief is part of this agreement. Where the two differ, this agreement wins.
1. Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older. Lila is for adults, and so is this program.
- You need a Windows 10 or 11 PC to film on.
- You post from your own accounts, which you control.
2. What you make
- One vertical video of 30 to 60 seconds, on TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, posted on your main account. We may agree more videos in writing; each one follows this agreement.
- You really use Lila on camera. There is no script. You say only what you saw her do.
- Show the screen when she does something, so viewers can see it is real. If you show a time, it is real: the timer starts when you start talking.
- Her voice is real. Never fake, redub or speed up her audio. You may trim pauses; you may not cut her words to change what she said.
- Fact check: send us your draft at least 48 hours before posting. We check facts only, never your style or humour, and reply within a day.
- Keep it up for at least 30 days after posting.
- Send the raw file (the clean video, no music or captions) after posting.
- Your link and code: keep your download link and your invite code in your bio or pinned comment for 14 days after posting.
3. What you must say, and must never say
- Say it's an ad. Start the caption with #ad, say it out loud in the first few seconds, and turn on your platform's paid partnership label. Do this even though your pay depends on results. Leave it on for as long as the post is up.
- Lila is an AI. If you mention who is talking, make clear she is an AI, not a person. Use your platform's AI label where the platform asks for it.
- Only true claims. Use the "say this" lines in the creator brief, or describe what you saw. Never say she is "the fastest", "the first" or "the only"; never say she reads or sends email, works fully on Mac or Linux, or that nothing leaves your computer; never say anything about health, therapy or mental health; never call her an "AI companion", "AI friend" or "AI girlfriend".
- Comparisons. The only comparison with another product you may make is "In our test of ten everyday jobs, she was about 14 times faster than ChatGPT's app", and only with lila-launch.fly.dev/how-we-tested in your caption. Don't show or name other AI products otherwise.
- No spying, recording people without their knowledge, or cheating angles.
4. How you are paid
For each user you bring
- $10 for every person who makes a Lila account with your invite code and then does at least one real job with Lila within 14 days of signing up.
- This is the whole of your results pay. Views, likes and downloads on their own are not paid; only users are.
- A real job means they asked Lila to do something and she did it in the app (for example, typed a note, found a file or looked something up). Just making an account, signing in or setting her up does not count.
- The 14 days are counted from the moment they sign up, so a first job on day 15 is too late.
- We count users from Lila's own records, and we show you the count every month.
- Your invite code works for 60 days and for the number of sign-ups we agree in the acceptance (50 to start), then stops. If your video takes off, ask us for more.
- Your own account uses a separate one-use code and never counts.
A booked package (Collabstr only)
If we booked your listed package on Collabstr, you also get that package's price, paid through Collabstr under its rules.
When and how
- We pay once a month, for every user whose 14 days have ended, in US dollars, by the method you name in the acceptance (for example PayPal or Wise). We cover our side of the transfer fees.
- If we booked you on Collabstr, we pay through Collabstr wherever its rules require it.
- You are an independent contractor, not an employee. You handle your own taxes.
- Before your first payment from us, creators in the United States send us a W-9 and creators elsewhere a W-8BEN. We issue tax forms where the law requires them.
What we don't pay for
We don't pay for sign-ups that are fake, bought, made by bots, made by you or people working with you, or made because someone was paid or rewarded to sign up. If we find any, we don't pay for those sign-ups, and we may hold back pay for the post they came from. Don't offer your viewers money, gifts or rewards to sign up.
5. Your video and your rights
- You own your video.
- Reposts: you let us repost your video, always crediting you, on Lila's own website and social accounts, for 12 months from posting.
- Paid ads: we will only run your video as a paid ad (for example a TikTok Spark Ad or a Meta partnership ad) if the acceptance includes ad rights and a fee for them, or we agree that later in writing.
- No changes to you: we may shorten your video or add captions, but we will never change what you said, make you appear to say something you didn't, or use AI to alter your face or voice.
- Your name and likeness: you let us use your name, handle and picture only to credit you next to your video.
6. Early access
- You get free early access to Lila, with her running costs covered, for at least 30 days.
- Lila is in beta. She will sometimes get things wrong; retake rather than post something misleading, and tell us what happened so we can fix it.
- Don't share your own account or its code.
7. Fair play
- Follow each platform's rules and the law where you live.
- No fake engagement: no bought views, likes, followers or comments, no bots, no engagement groups.
- Don't send unsolicited messages to people to push your code, and don't post it where spam isn't allowed.
- Don't aim your video at people under 18.
- What we tell you privately (unreleased features, our numbers) stays private until we publish it.
8. Ending this agreement
- Either of us can end this agreement at any time by email.
- If we end it, or you do, what your posts already earned still gets paid. We pay for sign-ups made with your code before it ended, once their 14 days are over.
- We may end it straight away, and keep back pay for the affected post, if you break sections 3 or 7.
- If you end it, you may take your video down after the 30 days; our right to repost ends for posts you take down.
9. The small print
- No guarantees. We can't promise views or sign-ups, and you can't promise them either.
- Limit on what either of us owes. Except for pay you have earned under section 4, neither of us is responsible to the other for more than the total pay due under this agreement. Nothing here limits anything the law doesn't allow to be limited.
- Law. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States.
- Changes. We may publish a new version of this agreement. It applies only to videos you make after you accept it.
- The whole deal. This agreement, the creator brief and your acceptance are the whole agreement between us about your videos.
